boxed sanyo m-w3k ,my mom called me up and said she found me an old boombox at a yard sale and to come and get it when i get the time , $20.00 was fair in my opinion even tho it was free to me .

thanks guys! , my mom bought me my first boom boxes when i was a kid so she knows what to look for , now finding the grails is hard but i'll take what i can get ,i'm starting to learn that actually looking in the wild pays off and the prices are a lot cheaper than ebay ,plus you can look at what you buy before you spend any money .

thanks skippy! i tell you this sanyo has the best tuner of any box i ever owned i mean its clear and picks up every single station ,not only that but the fine tuning knob also works to fine tune the fm ,you cant beat this thing for fm reception ,even with the antenna down ,i tested it at my parents house which is in the country and reception sucks there but this box just tuned every single station even ones i could not get when i lived at home ,just a super great tuner in this one.

My mom's only contribution to my boombox collection was to yell, "Turn that thing down!" whenever I played one. Be happy your mom is not only supportive of your collection, but actually contibutes to it. You're a very lucky son!

,now my old man thats another story lol.even though he has found quite a few great boxes for me over the years, when i was in my teens i had

trc 931 trc 920
lasonic l30k

and i would just go through the house with these boxes on and my old man wasnt too happy lol ,i guess he did not like run dmc blasting over his conway twitty records lol.so i would have to resort to using them outside far away from the house.but i didnt mind as i could really blast em loud in the country.

yes its a 1 piece box i will probably keep it ,its cool just to see one in the box for a change especially when it has everything it came with down to the sales slip still attached to the carton.
