Bought a Clairtone 7980 yesterday for $25 still in shock

I still can't believe it myself....

I went to a Collectibles show yesterday in my area (Ottawa), not expecting to see any boomboxes as they usually isnt any at this show.
I collect many other things, so its always worth it, but this time.....
I pay the premium to get in early, and was there about an Hour before I walked around this one table and sitting there is this nice looking Clairtone 7980, under the table, my heart skips a beat... I ask the guy working the table how much... he was about 30 years old, I was expecting to hear $300, $500 etc... he says "How about $25"

I tried to contain myself, but blurted out SOLD!!
I couldnt pay the man and take it out to my car fast enough, I didnt ask anymore questions, didnt look at it for condition or test anything until I got home a few hours later.

Everything works great expept Tape#1, I cant get the door open at the moment, Tape 2 works, Alarm works, it sounds great.
It has the original sticker on the Door..a little faded, but still very cool

Now here is the Kicker, I already have one... So I will probably put one up for trade, but only for another Grail that I want

Thanks..Honestly I feel like I won a small lottery.

I do know that there was a vendor at this show that knew what this box was, as I have spoke to him about it...so timing was in my favor.

I need to get a pic of the twin clairtones together :yes:

I got home and took it upstairs where my wife was watching a movie in bed..I plopped it on the bed and said "This is why I get up at 5:30AM to go to hunting for stuff"

I know I will probably end up keeping both, unless I got a trade offer I could no refuse... its hard to let them go once you have them

SWEET! That's $10 less than what I paid for my C100f in June. :-D :-D Congratulations!

Proof yet again that grails are still out there to be had for bargain prices.
