I took some boomers to the old RAE (royal aircraft establishment) site today.
The place was pretty much decommissioned years ago but as most the buildings were listed there not allowed to be knocked down (thank god :-) ), most buildings are now small businesses or some are apartments.

Too bad you couldn't get a pic next to the first passenger jet boomer...The DeHavilland Comet! But nice pics regardless. :thumbsup:

Well i got a picture next to the Frank Whittle monument (and almost got run over as its on a roundabout), and he was pretty involved in the Comet :-D
