After searching for what seems like a life time i am finally the proud owner of a Unisef boombox (the type with the twin tape decks, one of which is like a car type entry). My dad, who's a wizard at sniffing out old stuff, spotted it outside a second hand/charity store that hadn't opened to the public because of a refurb and knew it was exactly what i was after. Afterr a little bit of haggling it was strapped to the back of his motor bike and on its way to me.

I'm glad there is a lot of interest in these classic bits of technology, and that there is a place where i can get some tech help and advice (the graphic equalizer lights aren't working).

I look forward to having a natter with you all, Moki.

I'm sure someone here has the knowledge to help you get those lights going again.
In the meantime, you can keep searching the forums.

Thanks guys. And ive managed to fix the lights so all is good. Oh, and as an added bonus i managed to score a couple of old Tone Loc tapes at a boot sale this morning so all is good in the world of boom box.
