That's a sweet video homie! Great pics of your boxes. Also a great explanation of why you collect. Like you said, it's all about "sound and design!"

Great video static, I'm not much of a stamp collector, but I'm sure some are worth a nice chunk of change. For now, I'll stick to collecting boomboxes.

Thanks, I some how stumbled on some gym shoe collection vids on youtube and I was pretty shocked at how many videos there were. People collect sooooo many things that really can’t “give anything back.” Boomers actually give you something. You plug it in and you listen to music; it’s as simple as that. There should be more vids to document the culture.

There is a lot of history behind these wonderful machines and I tell you back in the day every time I saw someone walking down the block with one I would stop the guy and just strike a conversation about his box.

I'm not in any position to put down someone elses passions (or lunacy) on what they collect. But I agree, radio's are something you can take out of the house and share. Music isn't going out of fashion any time soon.

I have seen huge collections of shoes, they are cool, but you would NEVER dare wear them so unless people come to your house to see your "Display" how do you share them?

I knew a lady that had 4,000+ cows! The whole friggen' house was cows, little tiny glass ones all the way up to life sized fiberglass ones in the front yard. WTF are you gonna do what that? You can't Crank up a Cow? :huh: :lol:
