So last night I went to band rehearsal and as usual, I brought a radio, this time the little Aiwa I just made the battery door for.
I had it set up to play through my tiny blu tooth receiver fed by my cell phone with the "Tune In" app on it that streams live radio from around the world, in this case I was streaming THRASH ZONE out of Germany.
So my drummer walks in all stressed out because the KINGS (NHL Hockey Team) is in the the Stanley Cup championships and he really wanted to hear the game....
So, I extended my brand new antenna that I got from StrÄnj-BÅÅmbÅks and together we did some fine tuning on the AM dial and low and behold, found the station!
He was so excited he gave me a hug....Rehearsal was a little bit late so he could listen to the game and guess what...The Kings WON!
So, a Boombox can save the day....even on AM
