Just a try....

Inspired by Monolithics wonderful photostorys.

I have no babe´s ,but a collection of old model railways and more. :sin:

But it´s more difficoult i thought, to find a good place to take photos.
I choiced the kitchen, because there is a overhead light + the light from the oven.
The camera is´nt very good, so please sorry the poor qualiy.

Here we go:

So the big JVC mono meets american multiple units

Those ones are now usual everywhere in europe
This one is in our company color...

The FISHER 1,5decker meets one of the fastest german steamers

You think the KABOOM looks like a subway train?
Ok....

But the PHILIPS roller loves the San Franzisco CableCar

And the ITT touring on tour with the interurban of Innsbruck

Enough railways, a few cars now....

CROWN and the VW "Bully" and CITROEN "duck"

finally the micro AIWA and LADA nova + 2121

What a great idea... combining your hobbies in small portraits! You have shown too many of my favorites for me to mention them all, but I especially like the Fiat 500 (now that Fiat owns Chrysler, we should be seeing that car soon in the USA), the Mars boombox, the Elin mini+slim (a great variation of the Sanyo), the Siemens Hercules locomotive, the cable car (ride on them a lot when I'm in SF), and the AMC Pacer. Never had a Pacer, but owned two Gremlins back in the '70's. Terrible cars... but cute and fun!

...love the pics with the little trains. Since I am a locomotive engineer for the Santa Fe here in the states I will have to take some of my boomers to work and take pics with the full sized version....didn't know we had train collectors on the site. You should feel what its like playing with a full sized locomotive. The power is amazing...up to 6000 hp for a full sized unit and some trains run up to four at once...24000 hp!!!!

A train can be more dangerous as a SUV...

Every year in our depot 1 or 2 boomers get killed
Most forgotten near the tracks after work when moving the wagons....
But luck, no interesting units.
The good ones are saved - i took them home!

Took only a few of them for decoration of the shots.

It's interesting that you paired your JVC Kaboom with a subway train. The original brochure for the Japan issue of the Kaboom - the Victor "Drum Can" - showed it as a train in a station (with some breakdancing going on nearby). Trains and Kabooms seem to go together!
