Boombox fever victim in Austin, TX

Hi all,

A/V install technician living in Austin, TX. Excited to join the group! Recently became obsessed with the idea of getting a vintage boombox. Did some research and then may have spent too much money on a fixer upper Aiwa TPR-950AH. It's definitely got some issues, so I'll be asking for lots of help! Hopefully I'll learn some stuff in the process though

That is one of the benchmarks for boombox sound quality. So mellow and crystal clear at the same time. Really accurate tweeters, unlike most of its competitors.

These are the kind of comments that got me searching for one. So many people seem to love it. Really hoping to get it sounding great again soon. Bought some de-oxit today. Gonna open it up this weekend and give it a thorough cleaning. Hopefully it will help a lot.
