So after long hard (drunk) weekend. Whit waking up in 8 in the morning to take a part of the online meeting here and 950 km round trip to to the sea side whit train im back home. But not empty handed. Me and my girl was carrying on the back way those 3 beaters  . All of them are in bad cosmetic shape but fully workin. The story is a litle bit long. One of the other Bulgarian boomer collector found this extremely rare Bombeat 14 last week . I was curious about this model a long time. He didnt offer it for sale tough. But he was after my VZ2500... So he offered me those 3 boxes for trade. And ive jumped in. What i should say - The National Panasonic is familiar - build like a tank and deep bass.... The small Hitachi actually sound really good too and is goin to get some custom treatment... But the Toshiba RT8840S...... No words. Love it. Build like a tank of course, super sound, nice features. All boxes need proper cleaning and some small fixes. Not sure good trade or not. But im happy , the other guy is more happy than me so its a good deal and after amazing weekend good begining of the new week :breakdance: .

Hey Stormsven, I have the very same Bombeat 14 tucked away in my boombox cupboard. It is in the same, tired condition. She's begging for a bit of a spray paint and some new belts. Once i've finished my Panny 5500 project I might move onto it :-D

Really great finds :w00t:

Love the panny.

Of the BomBeat i have the 2nd generation with metal grills.
But this one is much nicer looking :smooch:

Is the TOSHIBA fully working?
Have 5 (!) of them, all with dead tape.
If you need parts, let me know.
1-2 will get parted out soon. ;-)

All nice boxes.

Toshibas seem to be very rare in my neck of the woods, never see anything above their cheaper line up to the RT-200.

I have 4 toshibas now and love em all. rt200 and bombeat 03 (sadly little bit cannibalized for some knobs tips for bigger brothers :-/ ) are often my "garden boomers". 14 and 16 are just kickin me "we need bombeat 40 for companion" . Love the clean classic look of all of them  . Actually when ive started to collect 6 months ago i was thinking that Toshiba is goin to be the most rare brand in my collection. But now 4 of them. And damn i just realized - i have no idea how many boxes i have. They are all around the place  . So probably im a real boombox collector now  .

It is for sure more than a facelift.
But you will see many similaritys on it.

Love the oldskool look on yours more.
The only i love at mine, are the lightning direction arrows.
