Thanks Ramon,but I don't use IE. I have a mac running Safari.
I never ever had any problems until the other day when the site was down.
Now I have reset Safari every time even to log in.
And for some reason the site times out.
And if I'm on line and I'm not on here for a while,I have to reset my browser and log in again.

I apologize to you guys having difficulty with the cookies. The old cookies were set to only work in the forum directory. Now, they are global to the site and can be used anywhere (on Boomboxery) at any time, which will allow for some really cool stuff that is planned for next year.

You definitely have to make sure that you get rid of all traces of the old cookies. You might have to delete bookmarks too as Frank found out with Safari - apparently it stores cookie information in the bookmark tab separately from the rest.

.

Sounds interesting! :w00t:

btw: on i-explorer it was only needed to clear the cookies one time, then worked fine again.
At home on firefox, i must delete every "internet-trash" and restart the pc.

I'm using Opera on a Mac and have had no such issues.

I did however have a similar issue with Gmail up until last week.

I noticed a new update to Safari came out recently, it's possibly that that is causing the issue.
I'd expect it's not a boomboxery problem, more likely a Safari issue with certain encoding and I'd further
expect it's happening on other similar boards too. I'm sure there'll be a Safari update to fix it soon, if indeed
this is the problem.

Of course, I could be entirely wrong!

Rock On.

Stick with it Skippy it will work.
I had to look up tips because the same time out happened with me for a day.
{I thought maybe you guys didn't like me anymore :sad: }
But after a few tries I'm back in.
Don't forget to reset Safari after you dump cache. That's what I forgot to do.
Good Luck.

Cheers OSS :afro:

Skippy, I have Safari too, the first thing I had to do was this (empty cache)---

f920c1e89656cb742d19b6972b03a470.png

Then I had to go to "preferences" and choose show cookies----

Then to avoid deleting all my cookies I searched for "boom" and then removed just those----

I then had to completely quit Safari, restart my computer and open Safari again, use a google search for "boomboxery" navigate to the site via the Google link, sign in, and only THEN create a bookmark.

(Before I figured out this I went to the site via FIrefox, but I had to delete all my cache and cookies there first, but that did not seem to be so picky)

I use Firefox on XP... I had to clear cookies and then check the "log in automatically" box. Then my problems went away.

I did everything you did Spud, except I deleted all my cookies and I didn't use google to find boomboxery.
I used MSN..........
I will retry and use Google. Thanks!

Hey Skip, the site has always "timed out" (after about 20 minutes of inactivity) unless you check the box for "log in automatically".
