Blue plastic cassette holder

Hi everyone. Just received my first VZ-2000 today and it looks and sounds great (Tuner anyway). I'll have to borrow a cassette and some vinyl to test the rest but the tone arm seems to move OK and if I play and open the door the centre disc is definitely slowing down. The only problem I can see (other than all slider missing) is the the cassette holder (thin lower bit) is hanging down on one side. I read that this may have been someone trying to re-assemble it with the cassette cover open but does anyone have a spare or have any idea if the part is available. Also, I'm planning to change all the belts soon but where can I get a replacement capstan roller? I might as well do it while the thing is apart.

Thanks anyone who replies and great forum, it gave me the confidence to buy a box that was in a good state visually knowing that I could replace bits with help from you lot.

hi there yes it sound like someone has been a bit rough with the cassette tray or assembled it with it closed. I did repair a cassette tray by glueing a small nut where it slides onto the pivot with some epoxy glue. but it depends on how its broke.....mine was an easy fix......dont forget to download my strip down manual

Kev, (madbadger), Thanks, yes I have your download - brilliant. Luckily saw replacement on Ebay a couple of days ago so hopefully sorted now. Doesn't anyone else braek these things for parts?
