Great find. What is a sally?

Every time I look at this model, I think I'm looking at a big GF-800.
Interesting that in such a large box, Technics couldn't find enough console space to stuff a dual LED meter in there instead of a mono meter?
I also didn't know that the HK-9000 was manufactured by Technics.

The HK is a Sharp. I had one. It actually looks better with the Technics speakers attached to it than the originals and would bet probably sound better too. I compared it and my WF-939z and thought the 939 sounded waaaayyyy better. Don't get me wrong, it ain't bad sounding but has a PA-ish sort of sound to it. Maybe it's in the circuitry...

Regardless, it's a great score and I would have another in a heartbeat!

The one NZboom has pictured says Technics on the upper left corner (where the Sharp should be) and the speaker bad says HK9000 where the Sharp one says Sharp. :hmmm:

I gotcha. It actually says "Technica". :-)

The HK's were also sold under a number of "variants" either as a clone or with the same look and lesser parts.

Oh, OK. That blurry picture, did look like it said Technics which is a common name. Technica.... never heard of it, but I guess if it's a Sharp aka, then it's gotta be good. :-)
