Saw a Big Ben on Ebay this week. This is the first time I can remember seeing one of these for sale. Can anybody tell me how rare these boxes actually are? I'm assuming not many of them were sold back in the day????

They are pretty rare, but not too rare.
They sound pretty nice and they have the typical Sanyo M-X style logic deck.
Not the funnest deck to work on unless you've done it a few times.
They are very cool though.
I owned one once, but It went to Germany to Blasterpunk.
I'm holding one Bill owned in this picture.

A few months back I bought this one from the homie James, aka JustCruisin. I love it, the down firing sub is sweet, and adds that kick. If you like em, and the price is right, go for it, its a great box to have in the collection. They don't come up for grabs too often. Good luck bro ;-)

Thanks to all for the information. The one on Ebay is way out of my price range, but like I said, this is the first time I've seen one for sale.

Skippy - Awesome picture of you guys. I passed through your neck of the woods a couple weeks ago on my way to Lacrosse.

I've just had two Japanese ones delivered. They were quite reasonable but have channel / amp issues which is annoying. That's the chance you take buying from Japan. I'll get them sorted though by hook or by crook.

Wow, the Japanese domestic models with their metal subwoofer grills look sweet!! It's screaming out for a flashing LED display! :-)
