This is a problem I have stimbled across....I have seen that there are still many remains of the old belt on the drive.

How can I remove them without making everything sticky? :-/

100% isopropyl alcohol and lots of Q-tip swabs. For the depth / valley of the pulley's where Q-tips can't get to them, I use a length of thread and run it through the valley to absorb and wipe the isopropyl dissolved rubber.

As for not getting it all over the place -- you can't. It's a messy job no matter how you do it.

I have been using Ronson Lighter Fluid like for the old Zippo's, because the Naptha won't attack the plastic. I never thought Windex would work! I will try it, 'cause it's a whole lot safer.
