Sorry I cant agree, although I like these I can think of loads of models I would put ahead of it on looks.

Lav, your Crown 950 has always been one of my favs, along with gf-9191, Las-931, Bombeat 16 and 40 and, yes defo the C100 aswell.

but its all just opinions :-)

Problem with the Bombeat 16 is that the chrome woofer rings aren't complete circles. I sold mine for that very reason.

In all these years, I never felt that box was attractive enough to pursue. Looks rather cheap looking to me. I also think that the bombeat 16 is far more "pretty".

Best looker? Don't know about that, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think the C100 looks much nicer. My favourite pretty ones.
Some upside down Panny's, and Lasonic 920 come to mind as well.

I definitely miss My Gold TC-999. Even though I would place a "quality value" price of around $350, it's looks are simply stunning. My Clairtone's build quality feel is way above that price. But, I'm already expecting to have to pay MUCH more to purchase another TC-999 when one crosses my path. As far as looks, I would like to add the J1 SuperJumbo to the list. Symmetrical styling, and powerful colors.

Some beautiful boomboxes you got there, even the Hello Kitty one

I got a chance to see Reli's TC-999 out at the West Coast Hollywood meet, its got instant street cred for sure. Plenty of bling on that baby.

Sanyo MX-920 no contest

Definitely a stunner with all that chrome. But, the T-shaped faux-3-piece look is kind of odd. And the tweeters should have been positioned further out for maximum stereo separation.

Reli, I love your eye for style and design. I'm too simple minded to formulate these types of design opinions. 😜

Ha ha, I have some strange opinions for sure. Like, the 2-piece grill on the 777 doesn't look right IMHO. It makes that box look broken up and asymmetrical, like a jigsaw puzzle. They should have given it one big grill. OR just a grill over the subs, leaving the other speakers open.
