Just got it. Long time was searching for one and looked like no chance :sadno: . This just pop up from small village from guy who was selling another box. Was chattin with him for a wile on the phone and he told me - "know a white trash guy who have one sony......". And it turned up to be D7  . Send the "middle men" a good cash tip and some more for the junky guy (hopefully will spend em for something good). The battery cover is missing ("but should be somewhere in the house" so fingers crossed it pops up). The good news - it is located on the bottom of the box and it is really small cover. 3 knob tops missing too but not a biggie (have matching spares) the antenna is not original (will find better one) and is really dirty. But still it is a Sony CFS-D7  . Love it so much already. It weight a ton and its a real brick. Love the whole innovative thing about this one, should be the top notch back in 1979. The tape is dead but looks like belts. Damn love it. Will give her a proper bad and maintenance. Worthy box for restoring  . Its yelling "quality" from everywhere

oooooooooooooooooo
solid -

how does it sound ?
The sound is nothing to be amazed actually :-D . But there is a bad news - somebody cannibalized the tweeters  so will be a lot better when found some to fit properly  . The woofers are really good (rubberized) and rated 3W at 8 om. They are boomin not bad. But deffo this box is to be listen at low levels  .

Strange thats the first box which if didnt have 2x display batteries didnt turn off :hmmm: . Other way is common (didnt turn ON) but never seen one before like this. Lost 2 hours to look where is the problem  . Than just put the batteries for the clock and voila  . I even get the tape deck workin , still with the old belt but it works  . Will hunt for one more and will try to have a perfect one. Love it. Its damn good box  And 8 kilos without batteries.
