Hey friends,
I'm sure this one must have been discussed before,
Is there any trick besides steel wool scrubbing, to get stubborn corrosion
off of the contact springs in the battery compartment?

I've had good luck with naval jelly.
It eats rust and leaves a clean surface.
Also scraping with a knife, emery cloth or sandpaper.
But you have to take the springs or contacts out of the box to use the naval jelly effectively.

If I can fix it without taking out the springs first, I will.
In this Panasonic model, they are good and buried.
