I saw that one too. I didn't want to comment just in case it was someone here's sale. 9v unit with a tone knob

Check out these two Ebay sales from a few days ago: (These are more like it).

James.... :-)

Was gonna bid on that 9994k...but didn't. Weird thing...that one had the mid tone button and not the loudness button. Every other 9994k i've seen had the loudness button...and the 9994 had the midtone.

I LOVE IT! I picked up a 5454 perfect shape off CL for $3. I almost felt guilty about making the owner meet me half way. She must have spent a buck just travelling to meet me.

Great little box for SW listening, but meh otherwise.

I did actually bid on that 9994K that was up.
Was sitting on 20something dollars for ages so I put $47 on it.

Problem is, I thought it was a different Sanyo than what it was after I put my bid on it (i know, it was a long day at work, ok?)
And while it was counting down I was realllly hoping for someone to outbid me!

Then when it finished up at $72 I got kind of disappointed I didn't win it.

eBay's quite a fickle business indeed...

Rock On.

Those small sharps are out-of-control on ebay.com.au.

If I saw that 5454 in a junk pile I probably would've left it there!

We must have a few sharp collectors that are willing to pay whatever it takes to get every single model - the 5454 mustn't be that common, I haven't seen many.

+1 that M70 sold cheap... not to mention the disco robo that sold for $100 the other week.

Sometimes, you just gotta know when to quit. :dunce:

Forget that auction. It's not representative of anything. That bidder placed 38 bids in the past 30 days. 94% of those bids were with THIS one seller. The only other bids he placed were for 2 other sellers -- 1 bid each. Read into that what you will... but me smells a rat.

I can forgive if one was in one of those "boombox induced trance believing you were bidding for a conion c100" moments. :dunce:

I don't think there is anything wrong with the one - The seller is a well respected member here at Boomboxery.com

I just think he got lucky with a buyer desperate for one of these Sharps.

James... :-)
