Competed all the time with other homeboys in the neighborhood of NYC.
Never try to dominate I was more of a go at it with peace and harmony mentality, but just don't Fu' cken cross me!
Size did matter on boomboxes of course.
Always love to let others hear the mixes I recorded from the Saturday night mix jams from 92WKTU.
Dance/Rap mainly back then.
Plug in at home.
Outside was batteries of course.
Are you kidding? Chicks would love to just hang out in the park just to hear the tunes and check out the boys and maybe smoke a little some some and then take them for a little walk to some nice little hideout and make out!.
Camaro/Mustang NO! I wish though.
Started at 16 with the a JVC mono, but then got into the big boys at age19 and on - M90,RC550,BigBen,WX-1 and so!

at home, I had a turntable and external speakers running off of my sharp 9292, and I'd plug that into a tape deck to record mixtapes as well. i turned my box into a full blown soundsystem!
