Back to work on the EVH M70

I'm sure you guys all remember the Eddie Van Halen tribute Victor M70 project.

So, I'm back to work on a few little details....You know, when you come this far....you just have to go a little further

Our respected member BMoney hooked me up with a fresh Japanese only top control panel. The other one was just hammered from years of use, as was this entire radio when I got it.

The Old One....

I also revitalized the battery compartment door with a new piece of foam to hold the batteries in place

The last piece of business to complete this radio is the Volume / Bass / Treble slider PB Board is being shipped off to our good friend Superduper for a rebuild. The bass slider wasn't working....

I mean with out the bass slider working you might as well chuck the whole damn thing in the dumpster, whats the point

So, once that is done, this bad boy will go into full service! I may have to bring it on stage with me at a show or two!

Good stuff. That top panel replacement is friggin mint!
I just shipped my slider board off to Norm as well.
My bass and treble sliders don't work :'-(
Talk about lack of controls those are my favorite..

BMoney hooked me up with that. I guess he converted a Japanese M70 with the 76-90MHz tuner to the American 76-108MHz tuner and changed out the top panel. Thankfully he didn't just get rid of this piece. I also got the tuner glass
