A few time ago i was at the waste-flea from our city dump.
Between some trash i found a very dirty PHILIPS, must have been used in an working area. :annoyed:
But no real damages, so i took it for 7 euros:
Testing is there not allowed. So it´s a lottery if it will work at home or not.
For 7euro bringing a wreck home is bad.
But this time i was a littlebit crazy and took a couple home:
The HORNYPHON without speakers was an add for 2 euros.
I parted it soon.
The SANYO is fully working ,but missing all knobs.
In the storage and waiting what to do....
The PHILIPS came with me to my büro.
I want to use it for company partys.
Plugging in - whoa, fully working!
Servocontrolled tape, 4 speakers, spatial sound.... and endless dirt!
This speaks from an hard life before.
I hate using boxes in working areas.
Dirt of working area needs cleaning in working area.
Best next to the heavy metal of our railroad company.

Cleaning every part carefully:
Around with soapwater and carcleaner.
All regulators with contact spray.
To get it quiet good clean, the whole lunchbreak (1hour) was over.
Noting in stomache, but a clean boombox:
The poor box was near to die, but now it´s back again!
...and how could it be other:
I don´t wanted to leave it any more in the factory to prevend damage.
I got another (damaged) box for there and took the SOUNDMACHINE in my garden!
