The 975 needs restoration bad. The best part about the 975 is that the original protective skin was still on all the front labels so they look brand new!

Will take pics when I get them all - I am now frantically searching for a place to hide these from my wife  .... seriously though.

PS, the Jumbo is kick ass!

Talk about nice finds!

Dibs on that crown if you ever get tired of it! :w00t:

Sorry about the Sharp. Is it just problems with the seller that he won't ship it? I hope you get it soon. Good luck on the resto on the 975 :-)

The sellers auction on the sharp said 12-19 days for shipping and I didn't see that :dunce: . It did ship 2 days ago but is really far away.

I will let you know on the crown. I know it needs a cleaning and antennas - both cassettes work from what the owner tells me  .

The 975 will be a handful to get the cassettes working and find the missing knobs/antennas.

Wow, it must be really far away. :-O

I hope you enjoy them all though

Hey blu_fuz, Congrats on the 975. I will be needing to do some deck work on my 935 and I'm sure they are the same or similar, maybe we should start up a tech thread and work our way through it!

Good luck on that restoration. I know you can do it! At least it looks complete. That's the real key!

I love those 975's.

Three hot winners there, Joe!!

Really well played to land all three.

Best of luck resotring your 975; they're well worth all the effort in the world to get going 100%.

Rock On.

The best part is the price  . Well within my spending limit which makes it easier to tell the wife about them  .

Thanks Glu

Do you want the good news or the bad news?

Bad news:
on the crown is that all the mounting posts to hold the back case on are broken and the entire box is held together with a bungie cord :-/

Good news:
the crown and the lasonic both had the original plastic film over the decals
the upper cassette and radio on the crown works flawlessly and this thing is clear and loud!
the crown is complete, nothing missing
a little good news on the crown having the post broke is that it left plenty of room for bartering, so I got it for way less

Looks like I have two very involved cosmetic restorations ahead of me and I know the sharp needs some work too. I need a workbench for these :hmmm: .
