I want to estimate how many of these were sold. I think it's very low. I think by documenting the serial numbers, we might be able to get an idea.

So, please post the serial number of your Clairtone 7979. You can find it inside the battery compartment.

Hemiguy? Bytor? Bangshu? Any others?

So that makes a total of 2 7979's ever produced.
Very rare
I will start the bidding on mine at one mealeon dollars!!!!!

Well, Frank. That tells me at least 3199 were produced. I have a sneaky feeling that if the serial numbers stay in the low 4-digits, this could turn out to be a superduper rare model. Heck, cars typically are produced in the hundreds of thousands/model year.
