Anyone else going to the "Art In The Streets" opening this Saturday‽

Art in the Streets, is the first major U.S. museum survey of the history of graffiti and street art presented in the United States. Enjoy performances by the stars of the classic hip-hop film Wild Style—Busy Bee and the Cold Crush Brothers with Grandmaster Caz—and the award-winning B-Boy crew from Los Angeles, Killafornia.

I'll be representin' with one of my boxes. It'd be great if another bro or sis were there too.

So I made it to the opening - a little later than I wanted to.
Had to decide whether to take the camera or the Amsen; I could only carry one and all the Cold Crush Stuff I brought. The wife was pretty freaked out about me profiling with the box and since we parked a couple blocks away and I didn't want to lose additional time, I left the box.
In hindsight, I should've rocked it: among the hundreds of people there, no boombox was present. Sure, there were images on shirts, hats, and bags, but a real live box blasting out The Clash, BDP, Grace Jones, EPMD, Cold Crush Brothers, LL, Eric B & Rakim, Whodini would've been epic. Still kicking myself for not rockin' it. :'-(

Without the box however, I was a bit freer to move about. While CCB was on, I was relegated to the back of the crowd, but still got a few good pix though:

Afterward, I pushed my way forward, met them and they autographed a CD for me.

After the CCB show, I got a great location at the front of the Style Brats b-boy crew show, right next to the legendary Martha Cooper (Subway Art, We B*Girlz, Hip Hop Files)!
