Anyone looking forward to Boombox day?

In my house everyday is Boombox day. This weekend however i have 2 new shelvings arrived, some new signage, and have prepped all my boxes for Monday 20th July, International Boombox Day!

I have even taken the day off work and had a Tee shirt printed with a C100 on the back!

Anyone else got any plans?

I'm wearing my Boomboxery T and have the M9935 warmed up with some Public Enemy.

I'll break out one of the heavy hitters later on when the neighbours are awake.

Why does it have to be on a Monday this year??? I wish it was more like an "Every 3rd Saturday in July."

It would make for more Boomboxin throughout the day. Oh well. I'll have to try to bring some to work... but keep them away from the dust clouds.

Yeah yeah I know pretty sad huh. I think my daytime job is stressful and I got pretty excited about a Monday blasting boxes rather than taking care of the weekend shiat storm!!!

Gotta agree with the 3rd Saturday. :yes:

There won't be any blastin' for me on IBD this year. Between ringing phones, customers, and contractors, I'm left with about 5 free minutes to do any listening to anything unrelated to work. Those 5 minutes are reserved for paying bills and apartment hunting.

C'mon 2019!!!

Batteries charged: check
Ipod full: check
tapes in case: check (found a new caselogic cassette case today yay)
Aux lead: check
beer: check
day off work: check
New boombox tee: Check (designed by me!!)

No Grail here, but a bit of a beater M70 will be keeping me company whilst I work on my place tomorrow. :rock:

I cringe to think in years past how many I have beaten up on the job site over the years way back! (hanging my head in shame) :bang:

:lol: :lol: :lol: Got shut down on a site a couple o' years back for playing too loud in a mall with my JTR 1287 ! :thumbsdown: Then went for liquid lunch early that day with and on the foreman, lol ! :beer2: After all, 'twas his tape!

Back the net day with some Perry Como for the Cranky Supervisor ! ;-)

Actually, I & a partner are doing some assembly work in a spare room in the building right now, and the boss came in Friday and asked ME if I could bring in some music. Like a smart phone or a "music box" he said.

When he said smart phone I immediately thought of Chris' signature. :devil: :devil: :devil: I smiled sweetly and said "sure, I could do that."
Then I had a heart and clued him in to what all my bringing in a boombox would entail, and let him know what day it was. I might be able to sanitize the room and be able to take a couple photos of the festivities, he said. :breakdance:

Got two IPods charged up and a fistful of tapes (Judas Priest, Scorpions, Krokus, UFO, Kiss, Metallica, Tool, & my partner hates hip hop, as you can tell) ready to go.

A good time will be had by all, and lots of work will get done. Can't beat that. :-D
