Anyone know if these two panels actually come off?

There are tabs at the back of these two panels inside the case that you can loosen. But it seems like the panels still don't want to move. I'm wondering if anyone who has restored one of these knows if they actually come off? I have a very filthy 5150 that I need to scrub and would like to remove these first if I can... Thanks

You could use a heat gun to get it off. Or try to pull some fishing wire behind it.

I wouldn't bother trying to remove them unless they're already loose or falling off.
If they're still holding solid, there won't be any significant dust or dirt behind them.
