Ended up in a cool 'ruins bar' in Budapest last night, called Szimplo Kert. I was very drunk and have a long hangover story to account for it but this is beside the point.
The bar was peppered with cool and not cool items like old radios, TVs, lamps, toys etc. In the corner of one room atop an old TV sat a big black boombox. Size and styling akin to a Lasonic TRC-935, if that's the one with the square speaker covers. It was in really good condition, but absolutely filthy. I took a lot of "cool" drunken shots of it with my girlfriend's camera... so no pics for a while sorry... The boombox was named Aviston, but do not recall the model number sorry... the only way I remembered the name was because we very poorly scrawled the brand name on her arm and whether we got the spelling right is another story... I was so tempted to steal it and make it available to preserve it rather than see it live in that corner... but my girlfriend is always very good at talking me out of these good ideas I get when I'm drunk.
Any knowledge on it?
