Anyone ever though of making a case of some kind to protect their boomboxes? I was putting my Panny in the car the other day and usually I wrap it in a blanket, so it doesn't get scratched on something, But I was thinking, Wouldn't it be cool to make some kind of neoprene type case for it with the handle exposed, That was it could resist some knocks and bruises and scratches from say, being in car, or taken to the woods or something along those lines, Maybe I'm foraging into OCD territory here  But I bet I could design something like that with my moms sewing machine and some foam and cloth from Micheals

LASONIC makes a case for their i931btq, and it will fit some smaller radios in it as well. Only drawback is the hardware not being the sturdiest stuff, so for some heavy lil boxes like my JVC 838, its too risky to carry, but pretty good for transporting.

Trying to think up a solution to haul my Panny C100 around this summer without worrying about scratching it up, Pillow case might work but this box is huge, Maybe I'll stick to the blanket method for now

Pillow case won't help much. It will mar the finish. Thick blanket is much better.
Scratch and mar are both different. Mar leaves ugly dents without physically removing the surface.
