So lets say you have a unit but the hold downs are broken. Well I have a nice sturdy repair and it looks good too
First you need a tiny bit about the size of a large paper clip thickness. Depending on width of lockdown drill 1-2 small holes. I was able to drill about 1/4" deep. The deeper the better . Next trim paper clip (as shown in pic). Cutting a bit longer so you can line up with antenna down for locking position. Next trim to desired height and place in holes as shown. Next mix up some JB weld. I always add a tiny more hardener. Let sit a couple minutes then put over paper clip keeping it from running down. Once weld is thickened but not hard use fingers to mold and shape. I shaped with small lip to go over antenna a bit. Let dry and paint to try and match. That's it and hope this helps with many lock downs I had to do both sides
