I just recieved a poorly packed Aiwa 660.
This was on my list for a long time - I really like the design, especially the blue VU meters.
It arrived like this:

Some of the pieces were inside the box, some of them I can hear inside the boombox.
What a shame. I hope the seller is honest enough to pay back my money.
He just put the aiwa inside the box and added some newspapers for "protection". :-/ :sadno:

that sucks :'-( i would try to find the pieces and glue them back together and if possible repaint the outer case of the box if there's no lettering to deal with either way i hope you get your money back or money for damages.

I live in Berlin and am a model builder. I stick things together, paint things, sand things on a daily basis and this would be an incredibly easy repair for me. It would look like new and would be done in a day.

PM me and maybe we can work something out!

Nice to hear that, beatbox. I´ll contact you.
But I have to check first, what the seller says. Maybe he wants the radio back for a full refund.

Oh man that just sucks, some people must think that their parcel is taken all the way to the buyer on a silk cushion.
Hope you get it back together mate.

WOW beatbox, that's very nice of you to offer your repair expertise to help another collector out. I'm sure quite a few of us on here won't forget that commont for a while.

A sorry sight for sure, but hopefully not beyond salvation.

Good luck, hope you get a satisfactory outcome. :-)

It looks not good. The seller keeps telling she always packs good and she cant see that some paper is not enough protection for a radio.
In her feedback there´s a similar case where a radio arrived boken. Her reaction to the negative feedback was calling the buyer a liar because she always packs good. :nonono:
Just stupid. :-/

I hope I can get my money back but it seems that I need to involve ebay. The seller is ignorant.

For the german collectors: avoid "240-parts" !!!

I think it is interesting that they chose to make the entire front case out of BLUE plastic... and the back out of gray. It seems like alot of blue to cover with gray paint just for a blue dial. :hmmm:

I noticed that, too. But the front is silver. I guess you need paint to get the silver look. So I think its cheaper to mix the blue in the resin and just paint the silver parts.
