Not bad :thumbsup: I love the LED's on this one. I have it's big brother D-8734 (Philips) and it sounds cool to me. Not a bass monster but it gets loud.

how much does a box like this go for in a thrift store? you don't have to answer if you don't want but is it like 10, 20. or 50? can't imagine it being more than 100....

My Goodwill has a standard price of $25 (what they told Me) if it's working and complete. I bought My JVC PC55 for $2 in the "As Is" section cause they couldn't figure out how to check it. And it was complete and worked 100% :thumbsup:

It was $20....hesitated on it because the Blockbuster I bought there was only $8 :thumbsup:

They're great boxes. I own the european version Philips D8614. Get all the settings to max and hit LOUDNESS button :thumbsup:

great score, like Mark above i also have the 8614 which is the euro version.
sound is excellent, all in all a great box congrats :thumbsup:

Have also the HORNYPHON version in brown and a wreck from RADIOLA.
This unit was sold under some different brands.
