Another New Photography Thing I'm Trying Out

I've wanted to do product shoots like they used to do in 80s print ads for a while. The japanese boombox brochures are always amazing examples of this, and I figured I'd give it a try, but not with a boombox at first, however there IS a boombox in the one I have done. I plan on doing these kinds of things for a lot of the 80s stuff I've collected (and continue to collect!) and will be including boomboxes in most of them, even if it's just in the periphery like this one.

Hope you like it, and suggestions and other ideas are always welcome!

What a BEAUTIFUL shoot, I can't imagine a way to do it better    . The picture conveys exactly the refinement a smoker could want in a lighter. FANTASTIC, please, keep on your good work.

Thanks, guys!
King Excel: Yes sir! I thought the gold tones of them and the tiger eye cufflinks would work well with the rest of the gold in the props.

:agree: :agree: :agree: i see it in already in the magazines

SERIOUSLY, that looks so retro, I thought it was a scanned picture from an old magazine!! If that was the desired effect, it MOST DEFINITELY worked!!

Thanks guys!

The idea is to do product shots and theme based on who the market would be. Being a first one it's a pretty broad men's theme.
I want to do ones for my favourite shrink wrapped tapes, specific radios and some other obje's de 80s. Working on the props I need
still for a lot of them. I want to make up a classy looking 80s executive desk top, a sophisticated lady's night stand, an 80s teenager
themed space too. I'm also going to do some work like this for 80s inspired synth artists too, which would work like an 80s fragrance ad
I'm imagining.

It's really fun making a themed little space to complement the subject being photographed.

Thanks again for the kind words rockers!
