Spotted an old listing on Gumtree for: 'Panasonic stereo S-XBS'. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/new-farm/stereo-systems/panasonic-stereo-s-xbs/1086261076
Despite the dark photos, I could see it was my favourite Quad Amped Panny - the RX-DT680!
The listing promised the CD player didn't work but it looked complete and included the remote so for $10 with local pick up, it was worth a drive.
Got her home and found that the CD player was indeed dead but the decks are coming to life with some use. The tuner is strong and all the controls work fine including the remote.
An RX-DT680 is no good to me without a line in so I did my standard mod via the tape circuit:

All cleaned up and blasting the hell out of my workshop! I sold my last 680 a while back so it's great to be reminded how fantastically bassy these Panny's are!
