Here is a mod that takes about 20-30 minutes. If you can open the back of your radio and solder, you can do this mod. No cutting is required. No factory functionality is lost.

Best of all, if you do this mod on multiple radio's you only need one blu tooth receiver that can be moved from box to box.

The Blu Tooth Receiver I am using is a Blu Bridge Mini Jack RX. It charges off USB and last's between 10-12 hours. It's about the size of thumb drive and cost $38

You can buy it here:

Never seen a blutooth antenna, what type of devices can play music and connect to that? I assume any blutooth laptop, but what about iPhones and the like?

Yes a modern iPhone will run it. You just have to make sure your phone or laptop supports A2DP blu tooth technology. Which means your phone transmits in stereo.

I love this Xantech Stereo bluetooth reciever :-) Works very well with my iphone, ipad, and laptop.... and it's portable with an internal battery. I haven't test the duration of the battery, but instructions say 10 hours standby, or 2 hours continuous music playback :-/ . We'll have to wait and see how it holds up in the field of boombox battle. It's not as kool as the one posted on this thread but still is nice to keep my iphone in my pocket while I bump.

Can you wire it to different inputs or does it have to be RCA? It seems like a cool thing to do to my M9990 but it has no RCA, just mic L+R and REC/PB DIN...

In a semi-related subject, I wonder if Rhapsody can be blu-toothed out of my computer without having to pay extra... :hmmm:

Yes, because your only sending the signal from the headphone jack. It would be the same as plugging headphones in! If you were doing it from your computer, you would need to get a blue tooth antenna. Hit me up if you wan help locating what you need to do it.
