Anecdote on the Chat Room Party...

At one moment some of us put a few pics of our cassettes (and stuff)... I put a few pics of the few Pro recorded tapes I have.

Now, good to know i listen to a LOT of different musics, a lot! but my two main musics are Funk -soul- from the late 70s early 80s and Heavy Metal from the mid 80s onto the grunge era.

This said, Gulcifer notices that I had a TESTAMENT tape next to A COMMODORS tape!!!

The continuum of the anecdote brings us back 29 years or so... I was in France at the beach on holiday with my... either 9191 or 555.... 9191, yes... GF9191.

At the time I had started listening to Heavy Metal/Speed Metal.... I had my tapes of Heavy Metal out, and we were all long head dudes listening too the hard tunes!!!!

One of the guys was going through my tapes and all of a sudden he starts laughing quite hard and says, "He's got Yazoo between Venom and Accept!!!"

We had to laugh!!

Voila...

I too am guilty of a VAST collection of music. But for me, it was in reverse. I was a long haired Heavy Metal'r that found other music styles (age will do that too ya!)

My tape collection is still growing and I am always on the look out for new and exciting material, especially if the tapes are in good condition. Thrift stores, second hand shops, swap meets or friends old collections, I find them where I can!

With that said, I have found some REAL jewels....And the photo posted below was taken some time ago. It's really time for a new photo. One that includes more then just my METAL!

I am the proud owner of a kick a$$ Village People LIVE & SLEAZY that just Rips, Killer Disco Funk! I have some great Kenny Rogers, Neil Diamond, Osmonds and John Denver. And just like you, they sit right next to SLAYER and Pantera!

....I still listen to all that Cr@p! All original tapes from back in the day! When I get back in the states, I'll take some new pictures of ALL the tapes!

Great stuff - Aldo Nova, Boston, Dio, Anthrax, although I didn't see any Megadeth or Iron Maiden.
