This Nakamichi came up on the local Craigslist and I had to have it. $200 later it is all mine! Now to figure it out. Anyone ever mess with one of these?

Looks like some kind of professional recording tape deck I'm no expert but to me it looks like something you would use to be really wanted to make high-quality tapes and maybe the studio or something , maybe even recording live music.

I would say all those various inputs would be for your microphones for the drummers the musicians in the whatever and you would control those levels on the recording

Basically that wired remote would be so you can sit there and stand there whatever and have instant control over the recording

I have several Nakamichi decks! Whisper quiet operation and made to last!
They are one of the most expensive gadgets one can buy. This is one of the early generation model before they came up with Nakamichi Dragon and all.

That remote alone cost a lot! Treasure it!

Thanks for the input guys! I love it. I took it out of that black travel case last night. First time it has ever been out. It is amazing condition. Needs a little cleaning but over all it is beautiful.
