I`ve just recieved an email from a small company making a batch of replacement for me and they`ve sent me some pics !

They`re looking pretty good on their mini scaffolding and obviously need finishing but they shouldn`t be long.
Looks like a batch of of only 8 pairs initially but I`ve asked if they`d be willing to hang on to the design details in case I order another batch.
I`m still awaiting the final cost and will update again when I know it.
I`m initially going to sell them in pairs only ..at around cost price plus postage and packing.

I will have just 6 pairs available to sell so please P.M. me if you are interested.
Only available in black this order.

U.K . buyers will be prioritised first I`m afraid due to ease of postage and lack of the customs hassle/charges but if I do order future batches I`m quite happy to post worldwide but obviously the costs involved would be greater.

If anyone knows of other Aiwa models (or other makes) these clips would fit please post a comment below to help other owners.

Any non-U.K boomboxers can still P.M. me and I will get in touch when I have enough interest to place a second order.
Cheers.

The replacement clips have now arrived- pics below.

The replacement is on the right and as you can see lacks the extra locating lug on the bottom .
If fitted a pair to mine and have not found any issues as there is a slight indent for location on the top of the casing anyhow.
The repacements do have a hole in the place of the original lug so you could always glue in a small piece of pegwood/matchstick to help avoid any twisting movements but I just dabbed a spot of PVA glue on the base instead.

The replacements fit well and have small lines on the sides rather than being smooth.
Nice click fit for the aerial which will no doubt soften with use...(make sure to lift aerial from the base rather than the tip first to avoid risk of bending your aerial)

I have 6 pairs available (max one pair per person- to give more boomboxes a chance of getting what they need )
initially U.K postage only until the end of July then happy to post abroad.

£4 per pair including U.K. p&p.

Private message me if interested.
