Aiwa Na Wish Me a Merry (945) X-mas!!!

Hi there bros... Today I probably got my last boombox, for this year! NOT!

I'm actually planning on going out tomorrow morning on a true end-of-the-year round to see if there's something interesting...

This beauty is an Aiwa model number TPR-945E man is this baby a heavy hitter!!! I don't know how much it weighs, or how it sounds, but it's really, I mean REALLY heavy...
I actually had to open the battery compartment to see if it had some in there, but nope. It's all her own weight...

Only bad thing is, the original volume sliders are gone, they were replaced by a very big and protuberating knob... I'll have to work on that. Oh, and also on the left side there's a chrome panel missing.

I couldn't wait to show it to you guys and get your opinions, feelings, thoughts, whatever on it... so I'm posting pics without having cleaned her at all... after I clean her I'll post some more!

Anybody's seen one of these? Know what year it came out?

not sure of the year --maybe 1980 ?
the aiwas of that era were HEAVY !!!

many times --i have done the same inspection !!
to look in the case for the D cells --
which are not there
