not really, the main problem is the top chrome switch, there is a small tin plate that holds the switch in place, it also acts like spring so the switch will return to its correct position after you switch it on and off. It get weaker as time goes on, all you have to do is take it off and bend the metal backwards, and you have another few years of it returning. the other problem with this switch is if your heavy handed with it, the two rocker pins snap if your not careful, but ive repaired one and it works ok.
The power switch (inside the unit) itself is pretty reliable, the only way to break it, is to reassemble the unit with it in place, the chrome ON OFF switch gets caught on the power switch and it breaks it....trust me, i did the exact same thing........i had to make up another switch, but then i got a switch off a guy who had stripped a VZ.
Another thing you could do is if its the main power switch that has broke, you could drill a hole in the back of the unit and fit a push type ON OFF button. I know its not the same but at least you will be able to get it running.....
