Hi

If I could swear, I would.
I caught the aerial on my mint RT-170S and this happened <grrrr>

Has anyone had any success with repairing aerial snaps? Tried Superglue and no joy, even tried it with Bicarb and Superglue and there's no lateral strength which I half expected.

I'm sooooooooo mad :'-( TIA

Sorry! Nothing can fix it at that place where the leverage is high based on it is with copper washers. Even fixing the broken tip is waste of time.
Measure the total length after it is retracted, count the segments if you are particular about it and get one from eBay.
There is a vast selection of antennas online.

If you know the make a model number some of our members here might have a spare.

Thanks for the reply BBL48.
I thought as much. More annoyed with myself than anything.

I doubt there will be any correct ones available as these RT 170s usually go for mad money. eBay it is though I'll check via the Tosh sub forum.

Cheers

It is one single antenna, so total retracted length only matters to hold it back in the slot.
Check the total length from the screw hole to the tip of the antenna.
You might find one! Good luck!
Once you have many boomboxes there will be always a need for antennas, E clips, belts and all.
Please don't get annoyed!
In my case losing E-clips while taking it out is very annoying. So, I bought assorted E-clips (300 of them).
Now I can relax. I know it will fly away when I remove, with all the care it still will jump away and get lost.
