There is an M60 local-ish to me, its in good cosmetic order and full working order.

How do these sound, are they close to an M70?
How big are they, anyone got a pic with one next to a more common box.

Thanks

They sound good. Not like an M70 but plenty of warmth and just enough bass for a box this size. Here is a pic next to my now in pieces 931 and Philips...(Note: Tha' BASSment has changed since this pic...) :-)

alan --if you like its good // cool design
and if the price is low ( like US$50- 75 ) --then get it -

but if you want to be thrilled with the sound -
then save your funds for a better box

BIGGER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!! WARMTH IS GOOD, AS MR BOOMUS STATED.. PRICE IS A MATTER OF TASTE... IF YOUR LOOKING FOR JUST ANOTHER BOOMBOX TOO ADD TOO THE NUMBERS THEN ITS NOT FOR YOU.. GO WITH WHAT YOU LOVE........ :thankyou:

Thanks for the advice guys. The box is £30 (about $50?) but its about an hours drive away + of course petrol cost.

TBH im not massively excited by its looks but if had sounded around the level of its M70 brother I thought It would be a good deal.

As it turns out i decided to go and have a look but the lady was out for the day, so i may go this coming weekend if i haven't spent the cash :-D

Im still very meh on this box, so if anybody else grabs it, no worrys.
Karma, as ever, has sorted this out in that [karma] has just bagged me a one owner from new GF9090 for a total of sixty sheets including postage, so pleasant enough though M60s are, I now have another (boom)box ticked on my boombox owning bucket list. :-D

Ah well you're wrong I went no where near gumtree :)
Sorry for questioning the effectiveness of your obviously genuine psychic powers then. :-) Hey, any chance of having a look in your crystal ball please, and seeing whether anyone in my village has an M90 that they're just about to list on eBay but which they'd sell for cash to the first person to get to their door with a wheelbarrow? :w00t:

I knew you were going to question my psychic powers...psychic you see lol :)

That box has been on eBay a coupla times and I thought about getting my uncle to pick it up as he lives nearby so I messages the seller. But in the end I couldn't be arsed lol :) If it was near me I wouldn't question spending £30 on it tho, I'd be straight round there
