Yeah I'm pretty limited with this stuff. Back in the day I did teach myself how to add channels to CB radios from books, but it wasn't too involved. All you had to do was find a steady 8 volt power source, run that to a a few toggle switches and a few of the the pins on the PLL chip that controlled frequency generation. Flip one toggle and it would jump you 10 channels up. Flip the other one and it jumped you 40 channels up, or something like that. The PLL guide book told you what pins depending on the certain chip that you had in any given CB. I'm getting off topic, yet again. I'm pretty good at that I guess, lol!
