Aboloutely rare...Toshiba Bombeat 11 a

Actually two different toshiba boxes appeared on the market ,both named bombeat 11(also the bb8 appeared twice).
This one is totally rare the bb11a (rt????):

Here as example similar shaped sony `s( not aka type),
...just with equivalent key position.

So far there are around two dozen bombeat suffixed toshiba`s in the base:

rt8700 bombeat x1
rt8160 bombeat2
rt8080 bombeat3
rt8050 bombeat4
rt8024 bombeat6
rt8100 bombeat7
rt8000 bombeat8
rt8900 bombeat8(!)
rt9990 bombeat9
rt8550 bombeat10
rt8800 bombeat11
rt???? bombeat11(!)
rt8290 bombeat12
rt???? bombeat16
rt-s913 bombeat40
rt85 bombeat85
rt9000 bombeat d1
rt170 bombeat dr02
rt9100 bombeat ri

(not all from above mentioned models appear always with bombeat suffix).

yes I`m allways astonishd myself about the huge variety of boxes they offered back in the 80s!

:agree: bobby, after all these years with all of us scouring every corner of the world how can it be that these rarities remained hidden? :hmmm:

Yeah, that bombeat and Sony do look very similar. My Sony is CFS-81 though and not 91 but looks exactly like that one in the pic.

jens i have the rt-8590s which is also the bombeat 12 it has the sw bands and red tweeters if you wanted to add it if you do not have it in the database :-)
