That's a nice box you found there! YAY, another one saved! Fantastic.

If I had one of those, I would have to do something about the speaker grills though. I would re-do mine by re-spraying them, so that 'Turbo-Power' wording isn't on them. I like to see woofers!

........I bet Jens can reference it in the BoomBox Data Base! :-D

Of course, if he hasn't got that many specifications on that particular box, I am sure that he would appreciate it if you were to give all the detailings about that box, and a photo of the specifications plate on the back.

Two nice finds, right there.

Congrats!

floyd...there are boxes all over the place in my surrounding area if you have the time to look...it's a good and not so good thing  You should do a thread with pics of your other collections...it would be awesome to see. I remember having an old Pioneer amp in my old VW GTI...a gmh 100...that amp was the craziest amp i ever owned...it was mega powerful and could really drive 2 X 12" woofers :-D

i had a few pioneer gmh 100 amps ,those are strong amps ! i was pushing 2 -15 inch kicker competition subs with that amp and it was bad ass sounding it made a full 20 oz cup of coffee from 7-11 jump out of the cup holder.

:w00t:

I love old school car audio! I have a Linear Power 5002 running my studio monitors (powered from a hefty 12VDC power supply). I also have a few of the Proton Dynamic Power on Demand amps, the D230 and D275. Those are great sounding and very powerful, but won't survive long below four ohms (most D275s I've located are dead and have repaired).

:eek:fftopic:

Back to boomboxes...

:hmmm: I think I have an 80's era class A Denon Car amp stored in the garage somewhere, it's all black with big arse kicking fins on the both sides. That amp sounded better than any amp I used after it, the sound quality beats the 90's era MTX amp I have stored as well.
