Thanks guys! I lucked out again. It looked gross when I got it. REAL gross... 
It was covered in dust and oily grime and the laminates were ugly. The previous owner had no idea though that once the clear protectant plastic was removed the laminates were brand new and flawless underneath. 
Next was the driptip washing which made mostly every thing else shine like new. All that was left was the chrome. Luckily all of the those shiny bits are removable on this box so I could use my Meguires PlastX polish on each and every one with out fear of effecting other sensitive areas of the box. When I get it all reassembled I'll post a fancy new pic! Then all I'll need is a loudness button and it'll be 100% complete and minty fresh!

I don't have either one anymore but when I did have them both I preffered the sound of the 975, the bass wass a little fuller. I assume that was simply because of the bigger cabinet but other than that I thought they were pretty similar.
