Found this at the thrify store recently. This thing means business. I tried it on a wornout store-bought music cassette tape. It let out a buzz like an electocutioners chair, and the poor cassette was left without even a whimper left to it...
 :frankenstein: :grim:

This thing truly is 'The day the music died'

Good thing our parents never found one of these :-O :grim:

  :agree:
I'm sure my entire collection of completely grating tapes played at full distortion volume would have been wiped out by my father.

I posted elsewhere that these were the way to go when someone asked about erasing tapes. And they are no joke! These were intended to erase the old large reels that were in circulation years ago.

Sorry about the tape though if you really didn't want it erased. :-/

Good info, thanks!

Speaking of reels, I found a reel to reel at the 2nd hand store today. Didnt get it, but wow was it cool. Looked like a high-end boombox with speakers on each side just like a vz2000, chrome everywhere, big handle in the proper boombox position. Did not take batteries though, so for 25$ I passed on it. I think it was an airline something namebrand.
