Started collecting boomboxes a few months back, have purchased around 70 units so far. Here are a few in pictures, some are finished others works in progress.

Excuse the picture quality, I will take better quality picture of my collection soon. here we go...























Other 80's units are being cleaned and restored, pics later. Now onto some late 80's and 90's boomboxes. Some quality others curiosity boxes... And thanks for the positive comments but as they say you aint seen nothing yet, when my work is done this collection will be something. Now it is modest.

The above GE may look boring ,however the sound quality is much better than it looks. A nice find for $20 in a like new condition.

Now for the ubber cheapies...





These two cost me a grand total of $0 !!! The only investment was cleaning.





A few more to go....

More tomorrow...whew these creatures creep on space fast. And multiply ...I am a hoarder of electronics. :lol: And have a collection of over 120 headphones from basic to signature top O the line. 47 amplifiers from Crown and QSC to Bryston, Moon and Krell. 62 RC's from cars to helis. I should be on hoarders and at least bring some class to the show (in place of the usual dumpsters). :lol:

In total 36 subwoofer modules (TC Sounds LMS-Ultra and Acoupower plus more)driven by alot of juice. Now that is a BOOMBOX!\

Ohh looks like Montreal is untouched ground for you, very nice boxes indeed. I love the Technics, and the big 3 piece JVC.

Off to a flying start with some very desirable boxes. Well Done.

Edit, that Panasonic too :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool:

I'm not sure I would enjoy having 70 boxes every 3 months. Just moving them around would be a bit much, especially after the 200th one rolled in, sometime around Christmas. :-D

Nice collection though. :w00t: :-)

Do not worry I will have to slow down, at some point in time. :grim:

For now I think a GF777 calls my name and two Panasonic National flagships.


This new hobby is fun fun fun, and time consuming (restoring the boxes ,as if I showed you what they looked like before ) :sadno: BTW the classic JVC's were found during GRBAGE day !!! Yes disposed in the trash !!! :huh:

Who knows what will show at garage sales this summer.
