This 5252 came to me with right channel dead. It is on top of my Technidyne TD-7000 .

Second photo. After disassembly and checking solder joints , the process of deduction came down to a dirty carbon fiber pot. Opened it up , and there were a set of fingers broken off. DSC_1892.JPG

After cleaning with qtip and 99 isopropyl , it was time to reposition the broken fingers and glue into position.

Reinstalled and she came back to life. If you have not heard a 5252 , let`s just say it will raise eyebrows, including your own. The low midrange and highs are in my opinion, a most impressive sound reproduction, and hands down the best in it`s class. Have a great day everyone.

Good job, I had to do one on a mega rare unit recently. Was a lot smaller than I’m used to... same issue with a twin channel pot, one brush detached.
