this is someone trying to drive up value or just being a idiot. i mean its not hard for someone to get two ebay accounts and bid anything they want to bid. its just dumb. if someone is paying these prices good on them for being so rich lol. however i seem to think there is some trickery going on here.

It would be a little harder to peg if there weren't two others for sale right now. They are right in the $300 - $400 range at this point. If someone DID pay that much... It just doesn't make sense.

I wonder if the seller is running his bids up and making sure he is the top bidder then sending second chance offers to whoever came in as the second place bidder going down the list until someone accepts. This sneaky and sleazy tactic would make sure you squeeze maximum bids from everybody.

I find this a little interesting

Sometimes you can pick up a vibe about some vendors. I remember he sold antennae for the RC-M70 couple months back. I made an inquiry and never found him.....well........warming. I don't know, but certain spare parts he sold seemed to be quite highly priced. I have seen a few of his auctions and $860.00 is not totally surprising.

I am glad we have a forum to raise these points of concern. It alerts others about this trickery at play.
