Was at saturday at the local dump.
Have to throw away a lot of old trash from the garage.

This dump is outside Vienna, so you can take something interesting. :-)
At the city dumps it´s not allowed. :annoyed:

Look inside the electronic trash container:

A few original packed tapes inside!
PDM chrome, PHILIPS,...
Nearly all original packed.
Never used, direct to the dump.
And direct to me!

Just imagine how many nice things go to dump, because of the ignorance of the people... :'-(

my dad used to bring stuff home from his job that people threw out, power tools that just needed a new plug, lawn mowers that needed simple repairs, etc. In these times when something breaks most people don't know how or don't want to spend the time to fix it, it's easier and most of the time cheaper to just buy a new one. Sad

I don´t want to think about the time i worked at the PHILIPS SERVICE CENTER.
There was a big machine, like a car wrecker.
All the old electronics (also new ones, when warranty) went inside.
To prevend pre-selling!
Can you imagine how many boxes get killed this way... :annoyed:

That's some fantastic scores on the cassettes, Roman! The ITT tape deck looks really good too.

Always love a trip to our local dump/recyclers. They have my name and number there for whenever anything remotely like a portable stereo comes through and it's paid off many times.

Some useful pick ups there Roman, but I love the tape lot the most. I've discovered that finding rare/quality tapes in these kinds of places almost as exciting as finding radios.

Love your work Roman!

Rock On.

Roman, as usual, you've outdone yourself. People often gloat about metal tapes, but the FeCr are even rarer I believe. Good finds.
